Building Pittsburgh AI Solutions in Public
Why build in public?
There's a lot of talk about AI right now, and most of it is vague, hype-driven nonsense. I want to show what it actually looks like to build a real business using these tools — what works, what doesn't, and what's just tedious.
I also think it's the best way to demonstrate what I can do. Ranking this site in local search and shipping a chatbot that actually works will say more than a sales pitch.
What I've done so far
Here's the honest timeline:
Day 1 — February 15, 2026
- Decided on the name: Pittsburgh AI Solutions
- Bought the domains: pittsburghsolutions.ai and PittsburghAISolutions.com
- Set up the GitHub organization
- Scaffolded the site with React, Vite, and TypeScript
Day 2 — February 16, 2026
- Wrote all the landing pages (Home, About, Services, Contact)
- Built a demo AI chatbot widget
- Added local SEO meta tags and structured data
- Set up Google Business Profile hours and business description
- Added a blog (you're reading it)
- Created the deployment pipeline for Azure
What's next
- Finish Google Workspace setup (currently waiting on bank verification)
- Deploy the site to pittsburghsolutions.ai
- Set up Google Analytics 4 and Search Console
- Wire the chatbot to a real AI backend
- Find my first client
- File the PA LLC

I'll be posting updates here on the blog and eventually on LinkedIn. If you want to see how this plays out, check back.
Want to be the first client? I'm offering a deal for early adopters — a great website and AI setup in exchange for honest feedback and a case study.
